The curved beadboard cabinet at the right-hand end of the kitchen was inspired by an antique sink base in the historic Castle Tucker house in Wiscasset, ME.

The traditional slab sink is granite that matches the countertop. The beadboard backsplash is another detail that was replicated from the original blueprints. 

The sink itself is a genuine antique -- complete with original soap dish. We added new soapstone counters at both sides... 

These cooking center cabinets feature gently curved finished ends -- matched in the curved countertop and curved molding above. 

The island is finished in a soft yellow paint, in contrast to the stained cherry cabinets that wrap most of the kitchen. 

The cabinets are a combination of Quality and our own shop in cherry. 

A nice built-in hutch offers a focal point for some of the owner's antique porcelain collection. 

Our own custom shop made the special curved cherry seating area. 

We designed and our own shop built a cozy little banquette with wrap-around mahogany seating. The lighting is transcluscent lathe-turned Aspen by Peter Bloch, which gives off a welcoming warm light. 

The banquette features a small table with a "waterfall" Bubinga wood top. 

This mahogany cabinet has a lift that raises the TV fro viewing, or lowers to make it disappear.
